Indiana, Michigan, Ohio Team For ‘Eyes on 94’ Truck Enforcement Blitz

Michigan State Police, Ohio Highway Patrol and Indiana State Police have teamed up to cut down on commercial vehicle crashes on Interstate 94.

The enforcement blitz has been dubbed ‘Eyes on 94.’ During the enforcement campaign, officers will focus their efforts on trucks that are speeding, following too closely, improperly changing lanes, improperly passing, distracted driving and improper lane use.

CMV officers will assist with the blitz. They’ll be canvassing rest areas to provide educational materials on how to safely share the road with trucks.

“This initiative is a great example of the commitment by the MSP, Indiana State Police and Ohio Highway Patrol to the common goal of traffic safety and crash reduction,” stated Capt. Michael Krumm, commander of the MSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division. “This coordinated operation is an effort to increase awareness and education by means of high visibility enforcement on the I-94 corridor, which is prone to weather-related crashes.”

The enforcement blitz runs all week.
