Published:

Freak Accident Claims the Life of a Pennsylvania Man

In what the coroner called a “freak accident”, one of the Snyder employees got into the truck to move it, not knowing that it was being repaired at the time. The driver moved the truck approximately 85 feet down a slightly graded hill.

According to the coroner, Joshua W. Weyandt was killed instantly during the accident. The coroner ruled the cause of death to be an accident.

It is unclear whether the driver will face charges. Police report that he was very shaken by the incident.

Snyder Excavating is closed as the company grieves for the loss of Weyandt.
