Werner To Increase Driver Pay Again

Published:

Werner Enterprises announced that its company drivers will be getting a significant raise, effective on January 1, 2016.

The news of the pay increase for company drivers comes only weeks after Werner announced the biggest pay per mile pay increase in company history for its owner-operators.

The pay increase will impact around 1400 drivers in the one-way truckload van fleet. They will see an extra $5000 per year. In comparison, the owner-operators should earn an extra $10,000 yearly as a result of the per mile increase.

Werner president Derek Leathers says that this month’s two pay increases are part of Werner’s strategy to attract the best drivers to their company: “Pay increases are one piece of our multi-faceted approach to attract and retain the best in the industry and make Werner the employer of choice.
