The 26th annual Make a Wish Foundation’s Mother’s Day Truck Convoy will take place on May 10 from 8:30-5:00 in Lancaster, PA.
The family friendly event will include over 250 trucks, barbecue, live music, and an auction to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation Philadelphia, Northern Delaware & Susquehanna Valley. All of the funds raised stay local and go towards the Make a Wish Foundation’s kids.
The convoy has been a yearly tradition since 1990 when a child named Matt requested to ride in a truck and talk to his sister on the CB radio. 40 trucks showed up to honor his request, and the convoy was born. Now, as many as 450 truck participate in Lancaster every year, taking up to 100 children as passengers. The Mother’s Day Truck Convoy set a Guinness World Record for “The World’s Longest Convoy” in 2003 and again in 2004.
