Police say a naked 19-year-old man attempted to carjack a FedEx truck but had to abandon his plan when he couldn’t drive the vehicle.
The incident happened on Saturday in Coachella. The FedEx truck driver had left his vehicle to deliver a package. When he came back to the truck, he allegedly found a nude Albert Luna waiting for him in his truck.
Luna demanded the truck driver’s keys. The driver handed them over and then ran to a nearby residence to call the police.
Police say that Luna started the truck but apparently could not figure out how to drive it, so he abandoned the truck and took off on foot.
Coachella police were able to locate Luna. The arrested him on Sunday. He is facing carjacking charges.
Authorities are unsure why Luna was naked, but drug use is suspected.
