All six New England states have announced that they will coordinate their efforts to increase enforcement on speeders.
State police in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont say that they plan on using helicopters, unmarked vehicles, motorcycles, and mobile alcohol testing equipment to perform “a coordinated, simultaneous enforcement mobilization”.
Police say that the purpose of the campaign is to reduce speed-related crashes and fatalities.
