Ohio State Patrol Launches Program To Keep A Closer Eye On Truckers

Published:

The Ohio State Highway Patrol will launch their Road Watch 100 program today in an effort to more closely monitor truckers.

The major focus of Road Watch 100 is to reduce the number of 18-wheeler crashes to less than 100 per year by 2020. Troopers hope to accomplish this goal by teaming up with local law enforcement agencies to “keep an eye on truck drivers”.

Roadwatch 100 is motivated by an uptick in fatal crashes on Ohio roads. Fatal crashes are up 15% from last year.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is also encouraging all drivers to dial #677 to report dangerous driving behavior.
