Pro-Trump Message Appears On Hacked California Highway Signs

Published:

Police are investigating after a Caltrans highway traffic sign was hacked to display a pro-Donald Trump message on Christmas night.

The sign, located in Corona at Ontario Avenue and northbound Interstate 15, was caught on film by a motorist displaying the message: “Inland Empire supports Donald Trump. Merry Xmas. Vote Donald Trump.

The California Highway Patrol believe that the sign was hacked into on Thursday.

The California Department of Transportation declined to say whether the person responsible for the message was one of their own employees, but they did say that they changed the message as soon as they learned about it.
