Propane Tanker Crash Shuts Down I-20 in Texas

Over 7,600 trucks recalled fort defects that could spark a fire

A crash involving a propane truck and another vehicle shut down I-20 near Bowman Springs, Texas this morning.

Both the westbound and eastbound lanes were shut down due to fears of an explosion.

The crash occurred just after 6:00 a.m.

The truck driver and the driver of the other vehicle were not injured in the crash.

According to Tweets from the Arlington Fire Department, authorities plan to keep the highway shut down for several more hours. “Crews are setting up ground sets to keep container cool, letting it burn out.”  They estimate that it may take up to 8 hours for the fire to burn out.

The highway is still shut down at this time.
