According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, a span of I-70 in Colorado will be closed this weekend.
CDOT reports that I-70 eastbound/Westbound Highway 104, at exit 240 and mile marker 240, in Idaho Springs will be closed each night this weekend. The closure will begin on Friday, January 2, and run though Sunday, January 4, between the hours of 8:00 pm and 6:00 am.
The road will be closed during the overnight hours while crews work on grinder setting for the new bridge over I-70 at exit 240.
Traffic will be detoured around the closure by using the Highway 103 off and on-ramps.
