A female trucker is fighting for her life after she was run over by her husband in what police are calling a “bizarre” incident.
Drivers Switching Seats Sparks Incident
The incident happened in Waynesboro, Virginia, on Tuesday around 11 a.m. The 49-year-old woman and her husband were driving team out of Lenox, Georgia. According to police, the pair were driving without a trailer and had pulled off on I-64 to swap drivers at the time of the incident.
Wife Somehow Fell Out of Truck
The husband, 46, got behind the wheel as the wife got into the passenger seat. The husband attempted to pull onto a ramp when the wife somehow fell out of the cab and was run over by at least two of the truck’s tires.
The woman is currently in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The incident is still under investigation. No charges have been filed yet.
