Limited visibility caused by dust contributed to a 20 vehicle pileup south of Bakersfield, California this afternoon.
The crashes occurred on Highway 99 near Houghton Road around noon. Police say that strong winds and dust contributed to the crashes.
Luckily, only five people were injured and they escaped with minor injuries.
Traffic was backed up for three miles as crews worked to clear the crash, but it was back to normal by 2 p.m.
