Three-Truck Crash At Rest Area, 1 Driver Killed

A truck driver was killed after his truck crashed into two trucks at an Arkansas rest area.

The accident occurred at approximately 4:45 a.m. at the Social Hill rest area, located on Interstate 30 near Malvern, Arkansas.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Alexander Bout, 61, exited the highway. It was raining and the roadway was wet. His truck struck a 2010 International that was parked at the rest area.  The impact forced the International into a 2001 Peterbilt.

Bout died at the scene. The Kenworth’s occupants suffered injuries, though the extent of their injuries is unknown. The Peterbilt’s occupant was not injured.
