Motorists Report Truck Driver’s Bizarre Behavior

The driver allegedly parked his truck on the side of the road and began waving his arms at other drivers, shouting that he had a bomb. His actions were reported to the police. The man was arrested around 11:30 a.m.

No Explosives Found in Truck

Washington State Troopers say that they were not convinced that the truck driver actually had a bomb, but they erred on the side of caution and called in the bomb squad.

The incident resulted in heavy traffic congestion and detours, but police were able to reopen Route 512 by 2:30 p.m.

Troopers said the truck driver was “heavily under the influence” and arrested him for driving under the influence of drugs.
