Trucker Dies After Co-Worker Stabs Him At Texas Rest Stop

Published:

A trucker died in the hospital last night after being stabbed by a co-worker at a rest stop on Northbound IH-35, south of Salado, Texas.

The Bell County Sherriff’s Department said that the truck driver who was stabbed was training the driver who attacked him after some sort of altercation.

The driver who was attacked suffered multiple stab wounds and was airlifted to the hospital in Temple, where he died as a result of his injuries. His name has not been released.

The attacker then fled on foot into a field behind the rest stop, leading to an overnight manhunt along I-35.

The Sherriff’s Department located and arrested the suspect near a Holiday Inn in Saldano early this morning.
