Members of the trucking community have come together to help the family of a driver found dead of natural causes in his truck in the parking lot at a Sam’s Club.
57-year-old David Fadness of Waupaca, Wisconsin, was reported missing on September 28th. Police found him in his truck where he had delivered his last load in Idaho Falls. His dog, Maggie, was found safe inside the truck with him.
When driver David Ingersoll heard that Maggie needed a ride back home to Fadness’s family, he volunteered to help, even though he had never met Fadness. Ingersoll is a Wisconsin resident who often drives through Idaho. Ingersoll and Maggie are on the road now, but Maggie is expected to be returned to Fadness’s family on Friday.
Fadness’s company, National Logistics, is also working with the trucking community to help Fadness’s family to pay for his final expenses. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help pay for his funeral — and they have already raised $1000.
