Police are investigation after a truck driver was shot and killed in his truck in southwest Atlanta.
According to WSB Radio, police are questioning a woman about the incident. The woman has not been charged with any crimes at this time.
The truck was parked at a motel on Forrest Hills Drive in Atlanta.
The truck driver has identified as a male in his 40s. He suffered a gunshot to the head.
“Some type of verbal altercation escalated to the gunshot, so the male does have a single gunshot wound to the head,” said Atlanta police Lt. Charles Hampton.
Channel 2 reports that the woman was found inside of a motel room, and a gun was recovered. The news channel also reports that the woman confessed to shooting the driver.
Authorities have not released the driver’s name or the identity of the woman.
The incident remains under investigation at this time. No further details are available.
