Truck Driver Shot Several Times During Road Rage Incident

Published:

Two men are in the hospital after a violent road rage incident near I-95 north in Orange, Connecticut last night around 9 p.m.

Police are still investigating what prompted the road rage, but they say that immediately after, both the car driver and the truck driver pulled over at Exit 41. The truck driver then got out of his cab and hit the car and its driver with an object, lacerating the motorist’s face.

The truck driver attempted to return to his truck, but the driver of the car got out of his vehicle with a legally owned 9-millimeter pistol. The motorist fired several shots, hitting the truck driver numerous times.

Incredibly, the truck driver got back in his truck and headed north on I-95 until before stopping at Exit 44, where State Troopers found him.

Both drivers were hospitalized but expected to survive.

Police are still investigating the incident and have not yet filed charges.
