Truck Driver Uses Fake ID To Steal 40,000 Pounds Of Meat

Published:

Police are on the hunt for a truck driver who they say used a fake ID to steal 40,000 pounds of meat from a plant near Loganton, Pennsylvania last week.

The incident happened at Nicholas Meat on November 21. Police say that the truck driver loaded the meat up during a scheduled pickup and drove off, but the load never arrived at its intended destination in Milwaukee.

After the incident, police say that the driver was able to pull off the theft with help from a fake ID. They also said that the company information on the truck was fake.

The stolen meat was worth $110,000 and was enough to make 160,000 hamburgers.

The meat theft occurred only two days after a truck driver stole $35,000 worth of steak in New Jersey.
