A Florida trucker is facing charges after he brandished a gun during what was supposed to be a fist fight on the shoulder of I-95 in Stafford County, Virginia.
Fight Began on CB Radio
The incident began on southbound I-95 near the Stafford airport exit when a 52-year-old out of state trucker was allegedly the target of racial slurs and name calling over the CB radio coming from Florida driver Michael Vitture.
Driver Brought Gun to Fight
The victim then challenged Vitture to a fist fight. Both drivers parked their trucks on the shoulder, got out, and squared off. It was then that the victim said that Vitture pulled out a pistol. The victim retreated to his truck and called the police.
Police later found Vitture’s truck at a gas station. He admitted to pulling off the interstate to fight after the CB exchange. Police found a pistol lying on his bed.
Misdemeanor Charges for Trucker
Vitture was charged with a misdemeanor for brandishing a firearm. He was released on a summons.
