Trucker Holds Crash Victim’s Head Out Of Water For 20 Minutes While Help Arrives

A trucker is being credited with saving the life of a pickup truck driver who hit him head-on.

The incident happened in Clarksburg, California, on Friday morning (March 29) when a pickup truck crossed the center divider and collided head-on with Narinder Singh’s truck. The pickup spun out and landed in the ditch, its driver pinned inside the wreckage with his face in the water.

Singh got out of his truck, and, seeing the pickup truck driver stuck in a life-threatening situation, entered the ditch and held the man’s head out of the water for 20 minutes while waiting for rescue crews to arrive.

When rescuers arrived, it took the Jaws of Life and an hour and a half to extract the pickup truck driver from the wreckage. He is in the hospital in serious condition — but alive because of Singh.

Singh reported only minor injuries after the crash.
