Trucker Shot In Indiana

A trucker who was shot at least three times this morning is in critical condition after managing to walk into an Indianapolis truck stop to get help.

Driver Shot 3 to 4 Times

Police say that the driver pulled his truck into the fuel pump at a Pilot truck stop just off Interstate 465. He honked his horn to try to get someone to come to his assistance, but when no one came out, he crawled out of his truck and walked inside before he collapsed. Paramedics believe that he had been shot 3 to 4 times.

Shooting May Have Occurred During Robbery

Police believe that the truck driver was shot during a robbery, though they aren’t sure where the shooting took place. No witnesses have yet come forward and the driver is unconscious.

One nearby motel worker says that she thinks she saw the driver’s truck pull out of the motel’s back parking lot.

The driver, who worked for Enol Transportation, is in the hospital in critical condition.

Police are still investigating the incident.
