Freight predictions for the upcoming months are a bit bleak. The trucking industry is reportedly bracing itself for the worst.
According to Live Trading News, “Private trucking and logistics executives say that spot-market demand has turned soft this month and that the contractual rate increases they have been seeking are cracking.”
Industry experts believe the downturn my be somewhat of an illusion. Â They say that shortages and issues at the Ports in early 2015 prompted buyers to increase ordering which led to a surplus of goods.
Freight forecasters are predicting an “adequate” year; however, 2016 likely won’t see the freight movement as years past.
Drivers, are you starting to see a decline in freight?
