This dramatic video tells the story of an Ohio Trooper fighting to save the life of a trucker.
The incident happened in April when a trucker crashed through a metal guardrail. Trooper Devers found the 53-year-old driver slumped over the steering wheel, not breathing. With the help of another truck driver, the Devers performed CPR and ordered the driver not to die until he began breathing on his own. You can hear Devers saying ““C”mon, c’mon! Open your eyes! Let’s go, c’mon” as he frantically works to keep the driver alive. EMT crews arrived 12 minutes after Devers — to find the trucker breathing on his own again thanks to the life-saving efforts of Devers.
Devers was recently honored as a hero with a Certificate of Recognition.
