VIDEO: Suspect Sought In Armed Robbery Of Truck Driver

Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help after a truck driver was robbed at gunpoint on June 24th.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department: “the complainant, a 51-year-old male, who is a truck driver for Delphia Distribution located at 4411 Whitaker Avenue returned to his warehouse yard and was finished for the day. As he was securing his truck, an unknown Hispanic male approached him while inside the yard asking for a light for a cigarette. When the complainant informed the suspect he did not have a lighter the suspect pulled a handgun from his waist pointing it at the complainant while demanded money. After the complainant gave the suspect an unknown amount of money from his wallet the suspect pushed the complainant against the truck and went inside the truck taking an unknown amount of money from the seat of the truck. The suspect then in an unknown direction.

Suspect Description: Hispanic male, 25 years-of-age, dark complected, scar on his cheek, 5’7”, 200lbs, wearing a gray shirt, long blue pants, and a dark colored baseball cap.
