A truck driver went airborne off the interstate after he was cut off by a drunk driver around 1:50 a.m. near Dayton, Ohio yesterday.
According to the Ohio State Patrol, the accident happened when Ricky Daniels, 37, attempted to change lanes to pass a truck on I-75 northbound near the I-70 interchange. He cut off Kentucky trucker Christopher Burkhart, 47, and struck his truck. Burkhart then took ‘evasive action’, according to state troopers, to avoid another crash. His truck went airborne as it went off the road over I-75 southbound to the I-70 eastbound ramp, finally stopping on a hill.
Amazingly, Burkhart only suffered minor injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Daniels was not injured during the incident. He has been charged with improper lane change and DUI.
