Driver Spots Carbon Dioxide Refrigerated Liquid Leak At A Texas Pilot

Published:

CDLLife reader, Ash sent us some amazing footage yesterday, (February 24th) from Orange, Texas where he woke up to a hissing noise two parking spots away.

Upon further investigation, he noticed a scary leak coming from a truck hauling Carbon Dioxide (refrigerated liquid). The driver of the truck had gone into the Pilot to shower and had been away from his rig for around 30 minutes. According to Ash, there were 22,000 pounds loaded prior to the start of the leak.

The local fire department was dispatched to the scene, and was in the process of assessing the leak, and strategizing the cleanup when Ash was permitted to leave the area.
