Weather Pages To Follow On Facebook

Published:

Spring storm season is upon us.  Dangerous thunderstorms and tornados can be catastrophic and truck drivers often have no place to go to seek shelter and escape the storm.

It’s important to stay up-to-date on severe weather so that you’re prepared.

There are many great pages on Facebook that do a wonderful job at alerting the general public on severe weather events.

These pages don’t post fluff and they don’t merely predict the storms, they report on the storms as they’re happening.

Here are some you might want to follow:

Tornado WX Chasers

Tornado WX Chasers utilizes a network of storm chasers to gather their knowledge.  They do an amazing job at frequently updating current weather conditions.

What separates Tornado WX Chasers from many other pages, is that the people who are contributing are often at the storm’s ground zero, giving you a realtime view of the weather.

“National and Regional Weather Forecasting based in the vibrant city of Toledo Ohio. Providing Weather news, and a team of spotters and storm chasers that cover the midwest/plains (specifically) Ohio, Indiana, Illiniois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado).

“Plus national weather forecasts/outlooks and special weather information..thats our job here at Tornado Wx Chasers everyday. It really IS about weathering storms TOGETHER. ‘Protect and Warn(tm),'” their page states.

Good evening everyone. We here at tornado wx chasers has a full staff in the tornado wx chasers weather center tracking…

Reed Timmer: Meteorologist and Extreme Storm Chaser

You may know Reed Timmer from the Discovery Channel show “Storm Chasers.”  Though the show is no longer on the air, Reed and his team are still out chasing storms.

Reed’s page also provides fans with up-to-the-minute storm conditions.

Unlike mainstream weather pages, Reed’s team not only predicts the weather, they report live.

“We chase down and intercept powerful tornadoes and hurricanes in the Dominators.”

U.S. Severe Weather Network-

While U.S. Severe Weather Network might not have storm spotters on the ground, they do a great job at live updating the storms as they’re occurring.

Dangerous storms out there this evening. Stay weather aware if you live in those areas.
