Werner Enterprises has announced the largest per mile pay increase for owner operators in the company’s history.

Pay Hike Means Extra $10,000 For Some Owner Operators

The increase will benefit Werner’s all 48-state dry-van independent drivers, who will earn roughly $10,000 extra per year.

Other Werner Drivers Also See Pay Increase

In an attempt to attract more drivers, Werner announced that they will offer more dedicated routes and significant pay increases for Regional route owner operators. They will also offer owner operators interest rates as low as 7.99% for truck purchases.

Werner president Derek Leathers says that the pay hike is necessary to retain and attract the drivers that they need: “Professional drivers are vital to our business and our nation’s economy, so it’s important that we compensate them accordingly.”
