Renee Lamanna’s family finally has hope of being reunited with the missing woman after 21 years.
Lamanna suffers from dissociative fugue disorder, a rare condition that causes a person to lose their memory about their identity. She had a nervous breakdown in 1994 and has vanished. Her family believes that truck drivers have been giving her rides.
Lamanna’s family had new cause for hope last week. She was spotted at the Flying J Truck Stop in Latta, South Carolina at Exit 181 on I-95 on Thursday, February 26th. The truck drivers fed her, but the flier from her family asking for information about her came after she had already left the truck stop. Lamanna’s family reports that she was pursued by the police near the truck stop but they were unable to apprehend her.
The family asks that any drivers who spot her contact them. Renee Lamanna is confused about her name and it is believed that she will answer to “Darleen Hartfield”, “Darleen Hatfield”, or “Darleen Hanson”. Lamanna is now 56 years old. She’s 5’2″ and 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. If spotted, the family urges you to call 561-339-2266 and to take a photo if possible. You can also contact the family and follow new developments in the story via the Facebook page they have set up to help find her. Lamanna is believed to be heading towards Florida.
