The winter storm that gripped Wyoming this week and caused the closure of I-80 is being blamed for almost 90 crashes.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol says that from Tuesday morning through Thursday morning, they responded to 87 crashes. Two people were killed when a passenger vehicle rolled. 40% of the 87 crashes resulted in injuries.
Though I-80 has reopened, officials are bracing for another storm of roughly the same magnitude that is expected to hit the state on Sunday, bringing snow and colder air.
