A CalTrans worker was reportedly killed on the job when he was struck by a tanker truck in the southbound lanes of State Road 14 in Los Angeles County today.

The incident happened around 11:30 this morning on SR 14 at Red Rover Mine Road.

By the time that the California Highway Patrol arrived on the scene at 11:42 a.m. the worker had already died.

Initial reports indicate that the worker was walking along the shoulder of the road when the crash occurred.
