A motorist was injured in Pennsylvania this morning when his vehicle crashed under a flatbed trailer that had somehow separated from a truck.
The crash happened at 6:30 a.m. on State Route 19 in Lawrence County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the truck was traveling south on SR 19 when the trailer “became disengaged” and drifted into the northbound lanes. A northbound passenger vehicle crashed into and under the trailer.
The motorist was trapped in the car and had to be removed by rescue crews. He was flown to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital in Ohio. The severity of his injuries is unknown.
The truck driver was not injured.
Pennsylvania State Police are still investigating the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
