The California Highway Patrol Looking For Illegal Trucks In East Bay

The CHP has been working with the Richmond Police Department since yesterday to zero in on trucks that are running illegally and unsafely in East Bay.

What are police looking for during this enforcement blitz?

  • Bald tires
  • Cracked frames
  • Improperly secured loads
  • Overweight trucks
  • Truck drivers without proper licenses
  • Cracked windshields

During yesterday’s enforcement, a car hauler was cited for using three straps to secure cars instead of the required four straps. Another driver had his truck impounded after police discovered he was driving without a CDL.
