Trucker Stabbed By Fellow Driver At Truck Stop

An argument between two truck drivers at a New Jersey truck stop ended in a stabbing yesterday.

The incident happened at about 12:45 p.m. at Pilot Travel Center in Roxbury on Route 46. Police have not said what sparked the fight, but somehow 37 year old Yasim McDonald became involved in a physical altercation with another truck driver, a 43 year old from Pennsylvania. During the fight, the victim was stabbed with what police called a “sharp object.”

Both drivers were still at the scene when the police arrived.

The victim was taken to the hospital, but the extent of his injuries are unknown.

McDonald was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, aggravated assault with bodily injury with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
