Four Semi Crash On I-20 Kills Two Motorists

Published:

Two people were killed yesterday in a pile up crash involving four semis and one pickup truck on I-20 in Carroll County, Georgia.

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 at Highway 113 around 6 p.m. One semi struck another, and the second semi then “vaulted over the pickup truck and struck a third tractor trailer. The third tractor-trailer then struck a fourth tractor-trailer,” said Georgia Department of Transportation spokeswoman Tracey Watson.

The pickup was crushed and the two people inside were killed.

The driver of the truck that initiated the series of crashes was injured. The severity of his condition is unknown.

Georgia police say that charges are pending the results of an investigation into the crash.
