I-70 Through Glenwood Canyon Finally Fully Reopens

Glenwood Canyon

Nearly two months after a major rockslide forced transportation officials to shut down I-70 through Glenwood Canyon in Colorado, all lanes have reopened.

The rockslide happened on February 15, damaging an 18 wheeler. No one was injured, but 17 miles of I-70 had to be completely or partially closed.

Colorado state proudly announced that the reopening comes 23 days ahead of schedule. The emergency clean up cost around $5 million.
