Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the crash, but they say that an SUV and an 18 wheeler collided just east of Van Dyke Avenue, causing the SUV to spin out near the school bus involved. The truck did not directly collide with the school bus and there were no students aboard the bus at the time of the pileup.
No Serious Injuries Reported
The truck driver suffered minor injuries in the crash. No one else was hurt.
I-94 eastbound was closed for hours after the crash, but has reopened. Transportation officials say that there are still major backups and drivers should seek alternate routes if possible.
