Land Air Express Is Back On The Road

DOT Regulatory Reform Task Force To Target Last Minute Obama-Era Rules

Following one of the FMCSA’s largest trucking company shut-downs in history, the organization has announced that Land Air Express is back in business today.

Land Air Express was placed out of service on December 29 following an “unsatisfactory” safety rating.

Today the FMCSA announced that the company has taken sufficient corrective action to return to trucking. The company submitted a Safety Management Plan and demonstrated that they have taken steps to improve safety issues.

The FMCSA’s decision to lift the “out-of-service” order does not come without requirements. The company’s rating was changed to “conditional.” Land Air Express has also agreed to the FMCSA’s decision to closely monitor the company’s safety rating for the next two years.
