Man Arrested For Shooting At Trucker At Flying J

A man has been arrested for shooting a 9 millimeter handgun into the cab of a truck parked at the Flying J truck stop in Sullivan, Missouri.

Argument At Flying J Escalates

Police say that 21 year old Andrew Gibson became involved in an argument at the truck stop on Tuesday with a 34 year old man and a 20 year old woman, both Sullivan residents, on Tuesday. After the argument, Gibson went into his vehicle and retrieved a handgun. He then fired a single shot into the cab of the parked truck in an apparent attempt to hit the couple.

According to police, Gibson fled the scene and threw the gun out on I-44. Authorities soon arrested Gibson and recovered the gun.

Suspect Held On $100,000 Bond

Gibson is currently being held on a $100,000 cash only bond. He was charged with armed criminal action, assault, domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
