Police have taken a man into custody for shooting a truck driver twice outside of a trucking company in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday night.
Authorities say that 24-year-old Giorgi Kalandadze got into a physical fight with his 46-year-old co-worker Giogri Chuguashvili just hours before the shooting at Philadelphia Trucking Express. Police did not say what the fight was about.
According to witness statements, Kalandadze left the trucking company after the fight and returned in a car with two other men. The three men confronted Chuguashvili outside of his truck. Witnesses heard three shots fired and police later recovered three 9 millimeter shell casings in the area.
Kalandadze walked into the Bensalem Police Department this morning and surrendered voluntarily. He is facing charges of aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault.
He is currently being held in jail in lieu of bail.
