Sad news in the search for a missing truck driver.
Yesterday the Oregon State Police announced a missing truck driver was found dead in his truck.
According to an Oregon State Police press release, on January 12, the Sandy Police Department received a report on missing truck driver, Bret Anderson, 56. Â The Sandy Police Department sent out a release to various law enforcement agencies in the area, advising them to be on the lookout for Anderson and his truck.
A short time later, a tipster called to say that a truck had been parked at the Brothers Oasis Rest Area since Friday and had not moved.
An Oregon State Police trooper was dispatched to the rest area. The trooper found the truck and entered the cab where he found Anderson deceased in the sleeper.
The Deschutes County Medical Examiner’s Office said that evidence at the scene leads them to believe Anderson died of natural causes. Foul play is not suspected.
Rest easy, driver.
