Murder Suspected After Trucker Found Dead At California Truck Stop

$10,000 Reward Offered For Info On Truck Driver's Murder

Police say that they are investigating an Oregon trucker’s death as a homicide after he was found in his truck at a TA Truck Stop in Redding, California on Friday afternoon.

Authorities are not releasing many details about the incident, but we do know that 64 year old driver Rick Michael Forbes arrived at the truck stop around 11 p.m. on Thursday.

Police were called to do a welfare check on Forbes the next day because he hadn’t checked in with his family or company. He was found deceased in his truck around 1 p.m.

Investigators say that the circumstances of Forbes’ death leads them to believe that his death was a homicide, but they will not reveal how he died or any information about where he was traveling.

No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
