Police Ask For Help Finding Truck Involved In Fatal Hit And Run

Detroit police are offering a cash reward for information on a white bobtail that they believe was involved in a fatal hit and run last month.

Woman Dies After Hit And Run Crash

The crash happened on February 23 on West Eight Mile between Southfield and Evergreen road just before 3 a.m. Lashawn Renee Dawson was reportedly walking either in or along the westbound lanes of the road when she was hit by a vehicle and killed. The driver of the vehicle did not stop.

Based on a statement from Crime Stoppers, it is unclear whether police think another vehicle aside from the truck might be involved: “It is believed that the driver of the semi might have witnessed the accident and probably dragged the victim afterward.

Police On The Hunt For White Truck, Possibly Volvo

Police have released images of a white bobtail that they believe is a Volvo in hopes of finding the truck’s driver. They believe that the truck would have front end damage.
