Published:

A manhunt is on for a trucker who police say shot and killed another truck driver during a road rage incident on I-10 in Jacksonville, Florida, over the weekend.

Shooting Followed Lane Change In Construction Zone

On Saturday, 44-year-old New Jersey-based truck driver George Guerrero was headed east on I-10 between Commerce Parkway and Chaffee Road when witnesses say that he changed lanes in a construction zone.

According to reports, a second truck immediately began tailgating Guerrero, then pulled up along side his truck, bumped it, and shot at Guerrero.

Guerrero left I-10 and drove into the woods, where authorities later found him dead in the cab of his truck.

Investigators Hunting For Road Rage Shooter

Police are searching for a dull orange mid-2000 Century or Columbia Freightliner cab pulling a white trailer. Police say there should be damage on the truck’s front passenger side. The shooter is described as a man with a beard.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement are searching for the suspect.

Authorities are offering up to $3000 for information on the shooting. You can contact police anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
