Police Look For Suspects In Big Rig Rest Stop Shooting

Published:

Connecticut police are looking for two suspects who they believe fired a gunshot at a semi stopped at a Milford rest area early this morning.

Police Find Bullet Hole In Driver’s Side Door

The shooting took place at the I-95 southbound rest stop around 2 a.m.

When Connecticut Troopers arrived on scene, they found a bullet hole in the driver’s side door of a parked truck. The truck driver was not injured by the gunshot.

Two Suspects Wanted In Connection With Rest Stop Shooting

After reviewing security footage, troopers identified two people they believe were connected to the shooting. One suspect is a heavyset white male wearing blue jeans and work boots who was not wearing a shirt. He was accompanied by a white female with long dark hair wearing dark pants and a dark t-shirt.

Police say that the pair sped off in a tan colored Ford super duty extended cab truck shortly after the shot was fired.

Investigators do not believe that the truck driver knew the suspects.

If you have any information on the shooting, please call the Connecticut State Police at 203-696-2500.
