Colorado State Police are trying to determine why a semi veered off of I-70 and wound up in the Colorado River yesterday.
The crash happened at mile marker 17 when a truck hauling coffee left I-70, went through the guardrails, and came to a stop in the Colorado River.
No other vehicles appear to have been involved.
The truck driver was injured in the crash, but managed to get out of the truck and make his way to the embankment. He was transported to the hospital.
Colorado State Police are still working to determine what caused the truck to crash, but they did say that skid marks from the crash extended two miles back from the area where the truck left the road.
