Speed Limits To Go Up In Oregon On Tuesday

Starting on Tuesday, speed limits on some Oregon roads will be increasing.

Speed Limits To Increase On I-84, Secondary Roads

The biggest change effected by Oregon House Bill 3402 to increase speed limits will be that drivers can ” legally drive higher speeds on Interstate 84 between The Dalles and the Idaho border,” but other secondary road speed limits will also be affected

The speed limits will go up for passenger cars from 60 to 65 in some areas and from 65 to 70 m.p.h. in other areas. For truckers, in those areas, the speed limits will be 60 and 65, respectively.

The speed limits will increase on  U.S. Highway 97, U.S. Highway 20 and state Highway 31, as well as f Interstate 84, U.S. 95 and OR 78.
