Motorist Decapitated After Hitting Semi At 100 MPH On FM 1960

Published:

A man was violently killed early this morning when his car slammed into a semi at an extremely high rate of speed.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. on westbound FM 1960 at Walters Road in Harris County, Texas.

Police say that 27-year-old Xavier Sauls was driving a Honda Accord at triple digit speeds when he slammed into the trailer of a semi that was pulling away from a traffic light at an intersection.

The crash ripped the top and side off of the Honda. Sauls was ejected and decapitated instantly.

The truck driver was not injured in the crash.

Police are working to determine why Sauls was driving so fast and whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. Said the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, “There was a witness that said he may of heard cars racing but other than that statement I don’t have anything to substantiate that.”

The westbound lanes of FM 1960 were closed for several hours for the crash investigation and clean up.

Sauls leaves behind two children.
