A truck driver crashed through a highway barrier in Fort Worth this afternoon, leaving his truck dangling from the Loop 820 bridge.
The crash happened between Old Decatur Road and Business 287 when a westbound rock hauler owned by Texas Lone Star Materials, Inc. overturned, crashing through a retaining wall, sending the cab and part of the trailer crashing to the ground below.
Four injuries were reported, including serious injury to the truck driver. The truck driver is expected to survive.
The incident has caused huge backups on westbound 820. It it unclear when all lanes will reopen.
It is unclear whether other vehicles were involved in this crash.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
